Unbelievable....

This is a direct quote from Barbara Bush as she, George senior and former president Bill Clinton visited the Houston Astrodome where many of the evacuees from Hurricane Katrina were housed...

"...so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this--this (she chuckles slightly) is working very well for them."

my eyes once again roll very loudly... what the hell is wrong with people in politics not knowing that compassion is actually a GOOD thing!...someone needs to force that woman to live life with whatever neanderthal was her equal... but... i guess that would work out very well for her...

Hello Slackhopper,
We don't know each other, but we know some of the same people. I read with interest your blog about tagging and graffiti art. There is some beautiful stuff out there! Anyhow, just now, as I was in the basement of my boffice building, picking up a hummus pita (very good!) from the "Underground Cafe," I spotted an article on the front page of the arts section of the Winnipeg Free Press I thought would interest you. Apparently Winnipeg has a Gaffiti Gallery. Several years ago a group aquired a dilapidated old warehouse, and let inner-city kids turn it into something beautiful. They have a couple of big name young artists who contribute, and offer a variety of arts workshops, but otherwise it is all young people.
